About: Horror news was created for 1 purpose. To unite all the horror news in the world under 1 roof. If you've checked out our other Eyes of Chaos sites, you'll see that ..well...ya we are horror fans... period. Born out of the idea of - "wouldn't it be nice to access all the info in 1 spot rather than looking up 10 -50 sites"? Many of which never get enough traffic because they are dwarfed in the search results. And so the "horror news" site was created. Currently we are feeding in over 100 horror and movie websites to present them all in one location. "Horror news" is constantly being added to, so check back often! The response and support has been amazing, so we know know we weren't the only ones who wanted such a site. In short, this is phase 1. Which is to bring the info in and pass it along. As "Horror News" grows we'll add features to accommodate needs. FAQ: We have a site that we'd like you to add? Yes, - send me the link and it "will" be added. Though keep in mind it must have a RSS feed to properly channel in the info. Also it must be about "horror" in some capacity or about movies in general. We have a "Myspace" horror site we'd like you to add? Yes, - as long as the blog itself is an ongoing horror dedicated blog, and not a personal diary of your recent relationship problems Can you interview, do a feature on us? At the moment, we are not doing exclusive articles "yet" - though that could change. We are still working out the details of where to take this. Banner exchange? Yep - you got it - here is the banners for our sites Send us yours, we love to cross promote. What is an RSS feed? Basically it is an automation that people can subscribe to to have the news or information come to them directly as its added. Your web browser most t likely has a RSS "subscriber" function. What we have done is taken all the subscriptions and ported them thru javascript. Does "Horror News" have a RSS feed? Right now the Eyes of Chaos & Nightmare Kinetics news is imported in directly. What does "Horror News" do? We collect all these feeds and channel them into 1 source that folks can browse per the initial websites they come from. The feeds import as raw info, mostly without graphics or extensive summaries. The browser can then click on article they want to read to be taken to the "full source". Why is this an advantage? If your experience is like ours, then browsing many horror sites you have to deal with pop-ups, ads, flash craziness, large graphics, graphical interfaces and so on. Which once they get too carried away becomes a distraction and confusing. Why is this? - because all the advertisers are fighting for attention - to be honest. The bigger the site, the more high paying advertisers. Our site "horror news" takes you there if your want "but " you can jump right to the source if you want to get in and out. In other words, you want to see what's new but maybe the headless corpse ad is not really most appropriate popping up on your scene while your checking on info at work. How does it compare to printed publications? Quite frankly, nothing makes us happier than to see a fresh new issue of Fangoria, Rue Morgue, etc arrive in our mailbox..... fresh with info, images and news. However, alot of the times the information is dated due to the nature of publishing and publishing dates. News of the horror genre on the Internet outweighs the printed publications in phenomenal numbers, and is usually obtained the instant it is released. So..... diehards can stay in the "know" much more immediate. Why under Eyes of Chaos? Eyes of Chaos is our umbrella site. We have been in business about 8 years as a service provider for CD art, publishing art, film art and film related services. We could have started a new domain, but found it makes most sense to keep everything right now as a full isolated user experience. So in short, you can check on news and/or you can contact us for other horror related services. We want to hire "Eyes of Chaos" or "Nightmare Kinetics"?
